Web Site Hosting
Hi everyone,
I would like to start my own web site for my the various airline items I collect. There will be a handful of pages, but most of the site will consist of images so I am looking for a considerable amount of storage space (100MB+, unless I upload the photos to Photobucket and link from there).
I have limited experience with websites so I'm a novice going into this.
I would like to have my own domain (http://www.example.com) rather than an off-shot of Geocities, Freewebs, .Mac, etc. My understanding is that I'll need to purchase the domain and then use a hosting site. There are a ton of such places--can anyone recommend a good and relatively inexpensive provider for either?
Also, I will want to use software to create and edit the page. I have not used web software for years now, so recommendations with that will also be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Web Site Hosting
GoDaddy.com is probably the cheapest place to buy domain names. You can get some for less than $10, but I recommend getting a private registration so people don't look you up on Network Solutions and contact you.
Web hosting is a different matter. I'd refer you to the one I use, but I've had some trouble with their sales team and though I'm happy with my service, I would not recommend them to others.
Look around and let us know what you find. We'll let you know if it's a good deal or not.

Re: Web Site Hosting
My domain is through WebHostingBuzz (http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/) - they have some good plans - I have a pretty good size plan with them (30Gb is my storage) and I'm very happy.

Thanks for your replies.
Does anyone have any experience with Award Space or Dream Host? I've read they're good, but I don't know anyone personally who has used either.
