Superjumbo Jet to Land at BDL this early October!!!

some people just seem to always think it's boeing vs. airbus....

I saw that as well and thought the same thing... Might have to do a trip to BDL to take look at her.

BDL is a not a bad airport for spotters. They seem under the radar when it comes to all the stuff we get in New York/EWR, but they get alot of JFK diversions, a semi annual B-52 visit and have a resident Caravelle in Airborn colors.

Additionally they had the last scheduled Tri-Star service in our area (Trade Winds), some unique airlines (MK 747s) and National Guard base.

They also had the first visit of a AN225 to the US I believe.

Glad the Whale Jet will make an appearance now as well.

A lot of us took a day off from work when it came to JFK, so you wouldn't be the first :D

And I will be up there on the 6th to be at the AOPA expo. Darn, I can't miss school.

Well I went up last night and stayed at a Day's Inn right by the airport and met up with Raj earlier this morning. It was a shame the weather was bad when she came in and of course it opened up literally 3 minutes after she had touched down. :roll:

But finally I have seen the beast and she is gorgeous!

A special thanks to Raj for showing us around and helping us out. :)
