Checking Mandy Moore In....

Hey Folks--

Not to many folks know who she is but I was able to check in Mandy Moore, the Actress known for dating Zach Braff and in the Movie "A Walk to Remember". She was flying on us to CMH out of STL. She walked up to the Kiosk , and I said Hello how are they doing. She said doing good, Asked where they were off to and they replied CMH. Now through this time I was figuring she looked really familair but I couldn't place whom she was just yet.

They set their bags on the weight, and Mandy's bag was over 5 pounds. I asked her if she could remove 5 pounds or it would be a 25 dollar charge, she like any normal person balked, and goes Oh 25 I don't want to pay that! So she proceeds to take the 5 pounds out and got it down to 50 pounds.

I printed her boarding pass, and bag tags and when I saw MANDY MOORE on it, i suddenly realized who she was. But I wasn't really sure for sure. I did know she was from FL so if her ID stated it, it definetly was her.

I asked for her ID, and indeed it said AMANDA LEIGH MOORE, which is indeed her real name, and it was a FL License!

I thanked her for flying us and told her the gate and said she needed to take her bags ot security and to have a good day she said thanks and you have a good day too!

My god guys she is just as stunning in person as she is in pictures. Yes she did get her A boarding Pass, she even mentioned she went online 24hrs in advance to check in to be sure she got her A haha.

I said she would be allowed to pre board if she wanted to, she said no thanks I will be ok. One would expect celebrities to insist on pre boarding but not her!

The Gate Agent at the gate though insisted she pre boarded and then she said ok I will.

She mixed and mingled with the other folks in the gate area, standing in line like everyone else does, no special treatment or anything.

Very Nice Woman and so down to earth!

Thats my story folks, thought it was very cool!

Very cool. I've heard nice things about her in the past as well.

I've met many celebrities in my day, and have quite a few good stories. Once I accidentally cursed out Danny Devito. Another time I met Johnny Knoxville and had to check his ID, and learned his real name is Phillip Clapp, and his California ID had a pic of him wearing a priest collar.

I could go on, but don't want to hijack that much. Great Story, Alex!

On a similar note...

I was picking my brother up from JFK on Saturday night at Terminal 9. He was coming back from Seoul via Tokyo and LAX. Anyways on his flight was Jason Hervey (Wayne from The Wonder Years). So I saw him at baggage claim (really short!). And guess who picked him up? Scott Baio from Charles in Charge!

I think a better question is that since you checked her in did you cher her OUT! ;) And if so than Tommy's question would be appropriate.

I met her back in 2002, very nice in person. It was when she was dating Andy Roddick. I met both Mandy and Andy after the U.S. Open Finals. I have a 2002 U.S Open program signed by both of them.
