Spotters on the GCP bridge? :D
I saw that one too, if anybody gets any real answers, let us know!
No ,law enforcement issues, GDP in place but it is for weather currently 12 west of feild moving dorectly at the feild with variations between 45,000 feet to 51,000 foot tops building and collapseing.
hi samantha!
A ground stop hasd just been issued as of 2345 local in relation to a very serious cell moving southeast at approx. 30 to 35 knots with cell topps of 400 to 480. Updates as they come.
TOnight's delay is due to "flight check" and is about 1 hour.
No weather except near PVD that I can see.
I am in BOS right now-- DROVE rather than fly.
Flight Check where?
LGA - looks like its flightchecks for the ILS/ LOC to RWY 4 Amendment 35, GPS Y RWY 4/ Amendment 2, and GPS Y RWY 22/ Amendment 2
Weird, I got no memo's etc on it nor was I even aware it was taking place at any time today. It would certainly explain why we had to keep them departing on 4 and landing 31 though when it was obvious it was favorable to maintain 31 up and down all day.
So that's why I couldn't do any spotting . I need either 13 or 22 to be active.
The wind was swinging around the compass all day long and earlier before the sun went down there was quite a few cool looking crosswing landings going on. A NWA 320 came in and touched down on the left main and could not get the right side down for a few seconds. She settled eventually but it was pretty fun to watch.
Flightchecks are no big deal, the Airlines dont need any memos or what not since it really doesn't concern them. The only notices sent out would have been to N90 and LGA ATCT.Quote:
