Ok, what you need to do is upload them to a hosting site, like http://www.photobucket.com
Next, copy the link (actually, in photobucket, you can copy the IMG link, which will copy [img]image[ /img]
But, if you just have the HTML address of the picture (I.e. http://www.yoursite.com/image1.jpg) you will press the Img button which is above the box you are typing in. It will put in something that looks like this: [img] and than paste your link in (So so far it will be [img]http://www.yoursite.com/image1.jpg) and click the Img button again. It will close the tag. It will now look like [img]http://www.yoursite.com/image1.jpg[ /img] (Without space)
Hope that helps!
thanks guys.

Damn...now he has pointed it out - we'll all be told RTFFAQ!
now did someone edit my post in the kjfk news thread to show the pic or did i do that myself? only asking so i don't continue doing something that is wrong.
A moderator edited it.
I told you how to fix it in a post but the mods fixed it before you got to it and deleted the post.
For your information, there can't be anything past the ".jpg" so you can have http://www.webpage.com/image1.jpg but you CAN'T have http://www.webpage.com/image1.jpg_h=11
I think I got it finally! Thanks guys. Phil, I got your email...will do. Thanks again.
