I found this interesting
I'm probably the only person on this board to have found this interesting but I'm sharing it anyway. I was looking through some pics of Travolta's 707 and found a pic of it with a blue cheat line. I found it interesting because its the same style as TWA's red cheat-line of the 60s along with the belly which is very similar as well. So I guess this is what a TWA bird would have looked like in blue.

that is pretty cool, explains the idea for the livery.

That is neat - I do prefer how it looks in red better!

The blue's kind of cool, though...gives it a Pan Am feel, doesn't it?

AAAW Tommy you didnt wan to use MY Pik?
I saw it at ORD a few years back 2000 or sometime...I wonder why he opted for the basic cheatline.
Not many shots of that plane with that scheme.

I think I read somewhere that he based the scheme on the classic TWA 707 era scheme. And by the way Tommy I find it interesting also.

As I know it is part of a promotional arrangement, and celebs do nothing for free, does anyone know how much Qantas paid JT to repaint the 707 in their livery and do his world tour for them? And, while it's nice for spotters and gives people something to talk about, does anyone really think this helped Qantas sell more tickets or make more money?
