Greetings,
Took a quick drive to TEB to get a shot of another BAC One-Eleven I was quite lucky with only 1 hour left.. I think this is my 6th one I have photographed.
It arrived at night a few days ago.
This was my first time hearing the eerie start up or the BAC-1-11....AWSOME!!

Nice shots Senga, the start up noise is even cooler from inside the cabin, especially sitting near the engines. I spent about 6 months in 1985 working for all BAC-111 operator Florida Express and probably flew about 20 BAC legs on Flex Jet !

Ron, I didn't know Flexjet had BA11s. Those are some nice pix you posted.
Tom, The plane rolled for a very long time and had a shallow rate of clime with LOTS of Smoke! Almost like AN-12. THis one smoked more than the ones onnes I have seen.
As you know TEB is a horror to shoot at. Today there was LOTS of heat haze-IU was ver lucky I has grass between me and the plane and NOT concrete.

hey guys... as far as i know from asking around, that bac 111 was a priveatly owned a/c... remember, FlexJet is Bombardier a/c only... i was kinda ticked while i work yesterday I didnt get my camera out fast enough to catch it leaving...
Senga, sorry for the confusion, FlexJet was the ATC call sign at Florida Express many years before the present day and unrelated FlexJet came to being,

Amazing these birds are still flying! I'd love to hear one up close, even with those hush kits it must be amazing.
No problem Ron, We both are showing our age LOL :) I sure wish I could have seen this stuff when ti was really common.
Tommy, When I heard this one start up I puled over for a sec I was like what the HECK is that sound! It sounded like a dieing bird and world warII sirens! Unfortunatly I wasn't able to stay for the whoe thing because of massive construction and they blocked off the access road and parking lot.
Now I have all the BA11's that are still flying in the US that are PAX. The remaining three that are still flying are three Northrop Grumman fleet that is based at BWI. Hopfully they will be flying when I am down there sometime.

This BAC-111 photo was just uploaded to JP overnight, when I worked for Florida Express our 79 seat cabins did not look anything like this beauty !

Never knew you worked for ZO. I worked for them also and flew many B111 flights....I actually miss them.

The -111's are definitely a sight to see , even more amazing to hear. 8) The RR Spey's are unforgettable . If you've never heard one , the engine on F28's and G-II are essentially the same . I can imagine the residents on the TEB area were calling their lawyers after that bird blasted out of there.
