I was fooling around with Flightaware this morning and generally by this time even on a Sunday morning the N.E is a blanket of red and the North East to Florida routes are a line of red. Check it out this morning because of the storm.

All I've heard as of yet are that EWR and LGA are both closed and all DL ops out of LGA/JFK are cancelled.
PLUS
NYC's plows have been taken off the roads because the snow is coming down too fast for them to handle.
Here in S. Westchester I already have 19 inches in my yard and the final total is supposed to level out between 22-24 inches. Oy vey!
22.8 inches already at Central Park.
The weather is insane.
Once thigns reopen, keep a lookout for some nice equipment subs.
woke up this morning about 0500 to call out from work and let the dog out to take his walk. i stood in the foyer and let him do what he needed to do. as soon as he got down the stairs he was up to his head in the soft stuff, took me forever to get him back inside after that. just so you all know, he's a 150lb rottweiler.
had to shovel my house out twice, same for my parents house which tok about an hour per house each time. have yet to look at the garages around the corner, digging both of those out is going to be fun. just glad i wasn't at work!!
heh I'm flying up to LGA tomorrow (Monday) night on AA 4735...think I'll feel any effects from today's cancellations?
I was looking forward to a nice boss-free day tomorrow because he was meant to fly to Houston this morning. :(

Yeah, I saw that. It should really go down with an asterisk though. Alot of the city got around 30 inches without drifts on the blizzard we had in 98 or whatever year it was...Quote:

Now for the LGA equipment subs, as of 1010A Monday morning all I have found are one ATA 752, 1 AC 762 and 3 AC 321's, possibly one DL 763, no biggie there. As of 0900 lcl 13-31 was still closed, up and down 22, as of 1010 LCL, 13-31 now open, land 22, depart 31 ! I'll be in at 1300 lcl.
