Just curious if anyone knows of other routes we New Yorkers can still get on passenger MD-11's. I would love to get on one this summer if I can for work, but this might take some planning. I know KLM still flies them, but I think they pulled them from JFK. Are they scheduled anywhere else in the US? I also know Finnair flies them from JFK, but I think that is it.

KLM flys the MD to IAD. Or just fly Fin from JFK.

Hardly any carriers fly them anywhere in the world, alot of them are making a second life in cargo.

I think the 330 is now on the IAD route. You can take a trip to YUL, then AMS. I think KLM also uses them to SFO. I hope to do the Finnair JFK-HEL route this summer

Nah they're all cargo now...The only airline that still uses them pax is TAM (I think) but even they might be already retired...

TAM still uses the MD-11 on flights to CDG and MXP from GRU/GIG.

From New York, as mentioned, your only direct option would be to fly Finnair on the JFK-HEL route. You could drive up or fly up to YUL to fly a KLM MD-11 on the YUL-AMS route or fly down to SXM and then take a KLM MD-11 to AMS. KLM also operates their MD-11 to a few destinations in South America such as UIO and GYE.

Maybe you can crate yourself up and fly an MD as cargo
