Speaking of DC-10s, Is there any cargo DC-10s that still come to JFK besides Cargoitalia, FedEx and VARIG Logistics???

Does Gemini still fly into JFK? They used to bring a mix of DC-10F's and MD-11F's from what I remember.

The thing with Cargo airlines is that they are hardly scene at JFK since they operate during the wee hours of the morning. For example Singapore Cargo operates into JFK regularly. I think you'd be surprised to see what still comes through JFK.
Personally I'd love to see the UPS 747-400F at JFK as well as the Jade Cargo 747-400F. Not sure if we'll ever see them due to issues with the lease but the Aeroflot Cargo MD-11F would also be stellar.

Idle some of the Evergreen 747s were PanAm....so you can sort of pretend they are PanAm ;)
I'm a big fan of Cargo planes, in many ways they are far more interesting then mainline passenger planes. I'd have to say Flying Tigers, Emery and some old Airborne colors would be cool to see.

I thought Singapore discontinued cargo service to JFK....

I never knew that United Worldwide Cargo brought in the DC-10CFs at JFK at the time... I never seen them once..
Considering I did the W&B on them for the time they were at JFK, I can attest that they were there.
Schedule was 2200 arrival from ORD / 0100 departure to ANC where it connected with the freighter from LAX.
The JFK freighter went ORD-JFK-ANC-NRT
The LAX freighter went LAX-ANC-PEK-PVG
There was enough "cross-traffic" to make the ANC stop work as a "hub" even though there were only 4 flights (2 each way).

I used to watch the Pan Am Cargo 747s blast off in the wee hours when I was but a teen, the blue ball illuminated by the tail recognition lights, the beehive hummmmmof the JT9Ds spooling, and the beacons, and strobes snapping, as they merged with the night, heading to the far east, africa, all over the globe.when I was a kid,it was ALL about Pan AM !

Im supprised no one mention about the TWA Cargojets 707s and United Jet Freighters DC-8s that did come to JFK in the 60s and 70s

I used to love watching:
Stretch DC-8s and 747's -Flying Tiger, Seaboard World, Trans International
C-130's -Trans International and Southern
Caravelles- Airborne Express
I also remember being around New Hyde Park in the early 70's and watching a CL-44 whistle by on the way to 22L.
But the greatest was parking just by the triple hangers with a great view of 31L (I used to sit ther for hours watching arrivals and departures). A couple of times there was a green 707 with a yellow tail that belonged to TMA airlines of Beiruit which was being loaded with cargo. I'm sure there are pictures on A-net

That particular EK B744F is no longer flying for Emirates , It's back in Atlas colors as of about mid Feb.

TMA also brought in classic 747s with the same scheme, the last CL44 i saw at JFK ,was a freighter for a company called AER (Argentina) back in the late 70's,the last 707 i saw at Jfk was a Varig Log freighter back in '87, for a brief period in '94 IFL group flew a bunch of sorties into Kennedy with a motley assortment of DC-3C tramp freighters, I was among those happy few,and dare I say it nearly had a tear in my eye, flying the pivot turn on the Canarsie approach in the lovely, old Douglas, over the old sod, fulfilling a dream I had since i was a kid.

to get back to the thread remember Airlift Intl, and their dirty DC8s and 727s?.Their ships looked like they were flown hard and put away wet. One other Cargo line I would like to see again good old Alitalia cargo 747 Classics.

I havent seen an Alitalia Cargo 747 since one was leased by Atlas Air a few years ago... Now they are using MD-11CFs to JFK...

I misinterpreted the thread and instead thought Sergio was asking which cargo airlines would you like to see at JFK.
Since the topic is about past visitors I'd like to see Polar Air Cargo 747s back at JFK again as well as the Saudi Cargo MD-11F, Korean Air Cargo MD-11F, and Lufthansa Cargo 747-200F.
Here's the Alitalia Cargo (Atlas) 747 for you, Sergio:
