Ah, this is awesome. We had some interesting flight paths on our test CL604 but nothing that clever.

Of course. Just a little friendly competition between Cessna and Gulfstream at the Flight Levels. A bit of a waste of Jet-A, but a cool marketing tool they may use in the future I would suspect.

I should have added earlier that these are often performance test flights so the 4 hours and 15 minutes of flight time is far from pointless in most cases.

Yeah, I was about to say, most likely this is a test flight and they decided to have some fun with it.

I was talking to Cessna test pilots over lunch yesterday and they confirmed that it was a fuel system test flight.
Funny thing, I said something like "So that flight about a month ago..." and they immediately knew what I was talking about :roll:
