Well, I decided to treat myself so I bought a new model! A Hogan 1:200 Northwest 747-400 new colors. The detail is very nice, landing gear, spinning engines, clear see-thru cockpit windows, etc. Picked it up from airlinemuseum.com for $26.50, not bad at all! I am very happy with the model. As a bonus, in the box was a Boeing 787 magnet! Sweet!

Here are a few photos.

I think it's their attempt at a cockpit in 1:200 scale

A good price, but does that aircraft really look that "sparkley"

Otherwise, a pretty good model!

In person it is nowhere near that sparkly, the camera for some reason likes to really pick that up. The color rendition is dead on to the real thing.

NO way in hell does NWA's birds have that kind of metalic finish  The cockpit is cool but the paint job is terrible, not life like at all. I'm surprised by Hogan, generally their products are pretty good.

Guys, the picture doesn't really show the livery of how it looks in real life, the color is actually very close to the actual N661US

If the model's of N661US, I've got to get that model. I feel like I have some personal bond to that plane, having done four flights on it, all of them positive experiences. I'd love to take her again in the future, or at least have a model of her.

EDIT: By golly, it is! I just looked over your pictures again.

Well my brother and I were fighting and when well he hit the shelf down came the 744, and well then he got it even more when the model broke... It is not a w/o however.

Obviously the pilots of the model didn't plan for a sustainable glide!

I'm a Imflight 200 and Heathrow Models fan myself. I'm still looking for any Hogan 1:400 diecast.
