A little over a year ago, we read an article about a girl who got in toruble for calling in a bomb threat on her flight at LGA.....becuase she was running late and wanted to delay it. And, all becuase she was involved in some love triangle with her boyfriend.

(read article here: http://stevegilliard.blogspot.com/2006/ ... -this.html (http://stevegilliard.blogspot.com/2006/02/can-you-believe-this.html)

Well, Mel and I saw her name and decided to see if she was on MySpace, and I sent her a message from my account. Assuming that it was her, I sent out a message saiyng "So how was La Guardia Airport?" on Feb 8, 2006.

Yesterday, 13 months later, I got a reply:

"---- YOU!!!"

So, I guess it WAS her. :)

Very odd story. Going back and reading it, at the point that it reached the media in February 2006, it had already been three months since she made the threat, which occurred in November 2005. An FBI source told the NY Post that there was a warrant out for her arrest, but she hadn't been taken into custody at that point. Looking at LexisNexis and Google it seems that the Post was the only paper to report it (with a bunch of news blogs picking it up), and never mentioned it again after the stories they ran on Feb 8th and 9th, 2006. It doesn't look like she was ever charged with a crime, and she'll live happily ever after.

"It totally slipped my mind about the terrorists"

Makes it hard to have any faith in the youth of this country, but consider that she was about 14 on 9/11....
