US Airways to China???

I just saw that US is applying to serve China, where would they fly from PHL?, PHX? and what would they fly I don't think the A-330 could make it non-stop

The funny thing is the US never specified which Chinese city it will serve; and its announcement came after DL announced its ATL-PVG application. I think it's more a marketing move than having substance.

Just for the fun of it, I think they will apply for PHX-PEK :-)

US has said long before Delta got PVG they wanted into China, this is not a marketing move by any means. China is a pot of gold for the airlines. US needs a China route to attract a certain lucrative revenue stream.
